SIMPLIFIED PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS NE1757R/NE1257r/NE2157R

UNLOCK FEATURE

  1. Determine if the microwave is in the programming mode. The easiest way is to press any preset pad. If the microwave goes into the cook cycle without having to push the cook button afterwards then it is not in the programming mode and the lock feature needs to be unlocked. 
  2. If the microwave does not go into the cook cycle after pressing a preset number then the microwave is in the programming mode and you can skip item 3.
  3. To unlock the program lock open the door and leave it open. While pressing the STOP RESET pad press and hold PROG pad until  “P” displays in the window. (about 5 seconds)       Program lock feature is now deactivated and you are ready to program.

READY TO PROGRAM

THE DISPLAY MUST BE BLANK. If it is not, unplug the microwave and then plug it back in. The door must be closed. The display will now be blank.


  1. Touch PROG pad
  2. Tap the preset number you want to program
  3. Tap POWER LEVEL. Default is full power
  4. Set the desired time by tapping 100 for one minute.
  5. Tap PROG pad again.
  6. Wait for the display to go blank (five seconds) then repeat the process.


LOCK THE PROGRAM IN


In order to have the microwave go into the cook cycle by just touching the preset you must lock the program in.


  1. Unplug the microwave then plug it back in without opening the door.
  2. While the display is blank press and hold the PROGRAM pad until PL displays.
  3. Open and close the door.
  4. The lock feature is now engaged.

TO ACTIVATE THE PROGRAM LOCK FEATURE

1. The door must be closed.

2. Unplug the cord count to five and plug it into the wall outlet.

3. While pressing the start pad tap the program pad until the display shows P L. (program locked)

TO UNLOCK THE PROGRAM LOCK FEATURE

Plug the cord into the wall outlet.

Open the door and leave it open

While pressing the start pad press and hold the PROG pad until the display shows PROG and P.

The program lock feature is now deactivated.

Before programming begins the program lock feature must be released

TO RELEASE PROGRAM LOCK

1.Unplug the microwave wait 5 seconds then plug the microwave back into the outlet.

2. Open the door and leave it open. While pressing STOP/RESET pad, press and hold PROG      pad until the display will show PROGRAM and P for more than 5 seconds.

3. Program lock feature is now deactivated.

MEMORY SETTING FOR SINGLE STAGE HEATING

The display must be blank before programming can begin.

Tap the pad to be programmed.

Tap POWER LEVEL pad once.

Set the desired heating time.

Touch PROG pad again.

The display will go blank after 3 seconds. Repeat the process.

TO ACTIVATE THE PROGRAM LOCK

1.Unplug the microwave wait 5 seconds then plug the microwave back into the outlet.

2.Do Not Open the door. The display must be blank.

3.Press and hold PROG pad until the display shows PROG P and L for more than 5 seconds.

4. The program lock feature is now activated.

UNLOCK FEATURE

You first need to determine if the microwave is in the programming mode. The easiest way is to press any preset pad. If the microwave goes into the cook cycle without having to push the cook button afterwards then it is not in the programming mode and the lock feature needs to be unlocked.

To unlock the program mode

Open the door wand leave it open

Press PROG pad

PROG will begin to blink

Your are now ready to program the preset pads

Program single stage

Press Shift (A/B/C) pad, Number/Memory pads “1” and “5”.

 The selected pad number will appear and currently programmed

information will be indicated.

Press Power Level Selector pad.

 Each time the pad is pressed, the Power Level switches as in the

Power Level Selector pad illustration on page 10. The selected power

level will be indicated, 1st Stage Heating Indicator “1” will start to blink.

Press Number/Memory pads “1”, “0” and “0”.

 The set heating time will appear.

Note: The maximum set time for “DEFROST” and “P0” is 30 minutes, and

15 minutes for all others.

Press Prog pad.

 “PROG” and 1st Stage Heating Indicator “1” will stop blinking.

This means that you have completed programming.

Lock it

Open the door and leave it open.

 The oven lamp will turn on, and “0” will appear.

While pressing Start pad, press Prog pad until “PROG”, “P” and “L”

appear. (more than 2 seconds)

 “PROG”, “P” and “L” will appear.

3 seconds later, “0” will appear.
